I dedicate this candle to you, oh Ingenious One. To you I give thanks for my creative blessings and implore you to save me from artistic endeavors worthy of display only on the sides of buses. Allow my muse to be everlasting and not to turn out to be a false prophet who leads me astray down the path of finger-painting instructor. Comfort me on late nights spent inhaling paint fumes or chiseling off my finger, with the promise of my own show before I am dead. I implore you, remove from me the title of “Starving Artist” and replace it with “The One Whose Checks Don’t Bounce.” Amen.
Directions for Use
Pour paint thinner in a holy circle around your studio. Light the candle, then light the paint thinner. Attempt to cross the circle of fire to place the candle in the center. Call it performance art and apply for a National Endowments for the Arts grant. Quickly. Good Luck! |
